About

Florida Society of Rheumatology

Through educational, administrative and legislative efforts, Florida Society of Rheumatology works for the betterment of rheumatology practices and patients in Florida.

The FSR Annual Meeting is one of the largest annual rheumatology conferences in the U.S. and provides robust CME/MOC opportunities and relaxed fellowship for physicians, practice administrators and clinical staff in the rheumatology industry.

Advocacy

FSR closely monitors current legislative and administrative issues facing Florida rheumatologists, and works yearly to set a legislative agenda that safeguards the practices of FSR members. Members of our Board have testified at legislative committee hearings and have visited with legislators in Tallahassee regarding these issues. We also have met with numerous state agencies, including the Office of Insurance Regulation, The Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) and the Department of Health (DOH). Our advocacy efforts have helped achieve multiple desired changes.

Member Support

The FSR hosts quarterly Town Hall webinars to discuss various important topics to our membership. Stay tuned for the date and topic of the next Town Hall.
